Dike Omeje

We were shocked  to hear the news that Dike Omeje, one of our most talented writers has passed away. Our thoughts are with his family at this sad time. It was a blessing to know him and his passing has left us poorer.

New writer announced

We are really pleased to welcome Tania Lewis to Top of the Tree. Tania's skill at teaching creative writing is topped only by her skill as a performance poet. Her obvious enthusiasm and charm make her a joy to work with. She is available to work with people from around age 7 right up to 107 - and beyond.

Top of the Tree unveilled

Top of the Tree has finally hit town. We're here to bring the best of writers within the reach of everyone. And what is more, we're going to make the organising easy and enjoyable.

One of the things I found the most frustrating in my role as Literature Development Officer was finding the right author for the right event. Even then, it was all a bit of a gamble. Some were good and others - well - not so good. Because we hand pick writers we know can deliver the goods, you have the assurance of quality.
